Dissertation Help London for Undergraduate, Master's and PhD Students
A London dissertation comes with its own rules. At King's College London, you cannot survey or interview a single participant until your project has ethical clearance, and the university never grants that approval after the fact. UCL runs 27 local research ethics committees across its faculties and departments, so your application route depends on where you study. At LSE, each department chooses one of three positions on generative AI, ranging from no authorised use to full use. Now add a one year Master's where the dissertation is written over the summer, often around part-time work. That is the situation our Dissertation Help London service is built for.
Clear guidance. Honest process. Support that fits your deadline.
Our specialists hold Master's and PhD degrees from UK universities. Before they start, they read your module handbook, marking criteria and any supervisor comments. Then they support you stage by stage: sharpening research questions, planning your ethics application, structuring a literature review, justifying your methodology, running SPSS or NVivo analysis, and editing your final draft. Everything we produce is guidance and model work for you to learn from. You write and submit your own dissertation.
- Master's and PhD qualified UK subject specialists
- Stage by stage support with chapter by chapter delivery
- Harvard, APA 7th, OSCOLA, Vancouver, IEEE and MHRA referencing
- Written by people, with no AI generated text
- Fully online, wherever you study in London
- Confidential from your first message to your final file
What Is Dissertation Help London?

What We Do Not Do
Honest limits protect you, so here they are:
- We do not submit work on your behalf or log in to your university systems
- We do not contact your supervisor, ethics committee or university as you
- We do not invent data, participants or results
- We do not help you collect data before your ethics approval is in place
- We do not sit a viva or any oral assessment for you
- We do not promise grades, a classification or proposal approval
Why London Students Look for Dissertation Support
London gives you world class libraries and supervisors, but it also gives you rent, long commutes and very short Master's timelines. These are the problems we hear about most often from students in the capital.
The summer squeeze on one year Master's degrees
Full time taught Master's programmes at LSE, UCL, King's and Imperial usually run for twelve months, and in many programmes the dissertation is the largest single piece of assessment. Taught modules end, and suddenly you have a few summer months to design, research and write the whole project. We help you build a realistic week by week plan and keep each chapter moving.
Supervisor comments that are hard to act on
Comments such as "be more critical" or "your methodology is not justified" are common, but they rarely tell you what to change. Your specialist explains what the comment usually means and shows you, with a worked model, how to fix it.
Ethics forms that stall your data collection
A survey or interview study cannot start until approval is in place. Students often lose weeks to missing consent forms or unclear data storage plans. We help you plan the application properly the first time.
Data you collected but cannot interpret
SPSS can produce dozens of output tables, and interview transcripts can run to hundreds of pages. We show you which results answer your research questions and how to report them clearly.
Writing in academic English for the first time
Many international students in London are strong in their subject but new to British academic writing. We explain UK conventions, such as building an argument and evaluating sources, not only the content.
Part-time work and long commutes
Plenty of London students work alongside their studies and spend hours on the Tube or bus each week. Staged support means you always know the next small task instead of facing the whole dissertation at once.
Your Dissertation Stages: From Research Proposal to Final Draft
Every dissertation moves through the same broad stages, although your handbook decides the exact order and word limits. This roadmap shows what supervisors look for at each stage, where students usually get stuck, and how our Dissertation Help London specialists support you.
| Stage | What supervisors look for | Common problems | How we help |
|---|---|---|---|
| Topic and research questions | A focused, researchable question with a clear gap | A topic that is too broad for the word limit | Narrow the topic and draft 2 or 3 precise research questions |
| Research proposal | Clear aims, a feasible method and a realistic timeline | Aims that do not match the method | Model proposal structure and feedback on your draft |
| Ethics application | Informed consent, data protection and risk assessed properly | Missing participant information sheets or storage plans | Help planning your application documents before you submit them |
| Literature review | Critical synthesis organised by theme, leading to a gap | Summarising one source after another | Build a thematic map of sources and a model review section |
| Methodology | A justified design, sampling strategy and analysis plan | Choosing a method without explaining why | Explain the options and model a justification for your design |
| Data analysis | Correct tests or coding, reported accurately | Too many outputs and no clear story | Step by step SPSS, NVivo or R guidance with clear interpretation |
| Findings and discussion | Results linked back to theory and earlier research | Repeating results instead of interpreting them | Model discussion structure that connects findings to the literature |
| Conclusion and abstract | Answers to each research question, limitations and next steps | New evidence in the conclusion | Feedback on your conclusion and abstract |
| Referencing, editing and proofreading | Consistent style, clear flow and accurate citations | Citations missing from the reference list | Referencing checks and editing in UK English, within your university's proofreading rules |
| Supervisor feedback and resubmission | Evidence that feedback has been acted on | Not knowing where to start with the comments | Feedback breakdown and a clear revision plan |
One to One Guidance on Your Research
If you only need a specialist to talk through a difficult decision, such as your research question, sample size or coding framework, you can ask for focused guidance on that one issue instead of a full stage.
Editing and Proofreading for London Dissertations
Editing covers grammar, flow, academic tone and referencing consistency in UK English. Some universities limit what a third party proofreader may change, so check your university's proofreading policy first and tell us what is allowed. We will work within it.
Choosing a Methodology: Qualitative, Quantitative or Mixed Methods
Choose your methodology by starting from your research question. Questions about how much, how many or whether one factor predicts another usually need a quantitative design, such as a survey analysed in SPSS. Questions about experiences, meanings or reasons usually need a qualitative design, such as interviews analysed with thematic analysis. Mixed methods combine both when one alone cannot answer the question.
A few practical points your specialist will help you with:
- Justification: markers want to know why your design fits your question, not just what it is. A strong methodology chapter explains the alternatives you rejected and why.
- Sampling: a survey of 120 respondents and a set of 12 interviews answer very different questions. Your sample size should match your design and your analysis, and your limitations section should say so honestly.
- SPSS or thematic analysis: SPSS suits numerical data and statistical tests such as t tests, chi square and regression. Thematic analysis suits interview or focus group transcripts, often coded in NVivo.
- Case study designs: many business and management dissertations study one organisation in depth, and the way a single case is chosen, bounded and justified is explained on our Case Study Help page.
Dissertation Chapter Structure and What Markers Reward
- Abstract: a short summary of your aim, method, main findings and conclusion. Markers reward precision, so write it last.
- Introduction: the background, your rationale and your research questions. A strong introduction tells the reader exactly what the dissertation will answer.
- Literature review: a critical discussion of what is known, organised by theme and ending with the gap your study fills.
- Methodology: your research design, sampling, data collection, analysis method and ethical considerations, each one justified.
- Findings: your results, presented clearly in tables, charts or themes without interpretation mixed in.
- Discussion: what your findings mean, how they compare with earlier research and why they matter.
- Conclusion: direct answers to each research question, your limitations and recommendations for future research.
- References: every source cited in your required style, matching your in-text citations exactly.
- Appendices: consent forms, interview guides, survey questions and extra data that support the main text.
Support for Students at London Universities
We support students at universities across London. The notes below summarise publicly available guidance so you know where to look. We are not affiliated with any of these universities, and your own module handbook and department guidance always come first.
University College London (UCL)
UCL sets one of three categories for generative AI use in each assessment, and your module team tells you which applies. UCL states that it does not use AI detectors when marking. For ethics, minimal risk research often does not need UCL approval unless your department asks for it, while low risk projects can go through one of the local research ethics committees and higher risk work goes to the central UCL Research Ethics Committee. UCL Library also offers one to one online appointments with subject librarians.
King's College London
King's requires ethical clearance for all primary data collection with human participants, and approval is never granted retrospectively. Minimal risk projects can be self registered through the REMAS system. On AI, King's asks students to check what is allowed in each assessment, ask when unsure and acknowledge any use before submission. Doctoral students declare AI use on their thesis submission form. Law students at King's usually reference in OSCOLA, but always follow your programme's guide.
London School of Economics (LSE)
LSE departments choose one of three positions on generative AI: no authorised use, limited authorised use or full authorised use. Dissertations fall under this education guidance, so your home department's position is the one that applies to you. Many LSE departments use author date referencing such as Harvard, but your course guide decides.
Imperial College London
Imperial is known for science, engineering, medicine and business, so dissertations often involve lab data, modelling or quantitative analysis. Medical and some science programmes commonly use numbered styles, and anyone new to Vancouver Referencing will find the numbering rules explained step by step in our guide. Check your department's ethics and AI guidance before you begin data collection.
Queen Mary University of London
Queen Mary teaches a wide range of subjects, from law and business to medicine and engineering, at its Mile End and Whitechapel campuses. Law dissertations generally follow OSCOLA. Your school's handbook sets the ethics route and AI rules for your project.
Other London Universities
We also support students at City St George's, University of London, the University of Westminster, University of the Arts London, the University of Greenwich, Brunel University of London and many more. Whichever university you attend, send us your handbook and we will work to its rules.
Research Ethics Approval for London Dissertations
To get ethics approval for a London dissertation:
- Check whether your project involves human participants or their personal data.
- Use your university's guidance to judge the risk level.
- Prepare a participant information sheet, consent form and data storage plan.
- Submit through your department or central committee route.
- Start collecting data only after approval arrives.
A few details make a big difference. At UCL, data collection cannot start until both data protection and ethical approval are in place. At King's, recruitment or data collection before clearance can be treated as a breach of ethics. If your plans change after approval, for example a new participant group or a new survey question, you usually need to apply for an amendment. We help you prepare clear, complete documents so your application has fewer questions to answer.
Generative AI Rules for Dissertations at London Universities
Most London universities allow some AI use, but the rules are set at university, department or module level, so they differ from one dissertation to the next. Before you use any AI tool, check which category or position applies to your module, ask your supervisor if you are unsure, and declare any use the way your university requires.
This matters for outside support too. Our specialists do not use AI tools to write your model chapters, and we never encourage you to paste AI text into your dissertation. If your module permits limited AI use, such as grammar checking, you remain responsible for declaring it.
How Our Dissertation Support Compares with Typical Writing Services
Not every service works the same way. Here is how our Dissertation Help London approach differs from what students often find elsewhere.
| How other providers work | How we work |
|---|---|
| Start with only a topic and a deadline | Start with your handbook, marking criteria and supervisor comments |
| Deliver one large file at the end | Deliver stage by stage, so you can review each chapter as it is completed |
| Assign whichever writer is free | Match you with a Master's or PhD specialist in your subject and research method |
| Show final numbers without explaining them | Explain every SPSS, NVivo or R step so you understand your own results |
| Ignore ethics approval and AI rules | Work around your university's ethics route and AI category from day one |
| Promise top grades | Promise honest scope, clear communication and free revisions against your brief |
Student Concerns About Dissertation Support, Answered
| Student concern | How we solve it |
|---|---|
| "My supervisor wrote 'be more critical' and I have no idea what that means." | We break the comment down and show you a model paragraph that evaluates sources instead of describing them. |
| "I've read 60 papers and I still can't find my research gap." | Your specialist builds a thematic map of your sources so the gap becomes visible. |
| "SPSS gave me 40 tables and I don't know which ones matter." | We show you which outputs answer your research questions and how to report them properly. |
| "My ethics form came back with changes and I'm meant to start interviews next week." | We help you fix the consent form, information sheet and data plan quickly and clearly. |
| "I work 20 hours a week and my dissertation is due in August." | We agree a staged plan with checkpoints, so each week has one clear task. |
| "Is it even allowed to get help at my uni?" | We explain which kinds of support are usually acceptable and ask you to check your handbook, AI category and proofreading rules. |
| "What if it gets flagged as AI?" | Our specialists write every model chapter themselves, with no AI generated text. |
| "I've been burned by a service before." | You get a free quote before you pay, see the full price up front and can talk to us before committing. |

Undergraduate Dissertations (Level 6)
Final year dissertations at London universities test independent research for the first time. We help you choose a manageable topic, write a proposal your supervisor can approve, and structure each chapter. Students comparing options across the country can see every stage and subject covered in detail through our Dissertation Writing Help UK service.
Master's and MBA Dissertations (Level 7)
This is where most of our Dissertation Help London work comes from. A UK taught Master's is usually worth 180 credits, and the dissertation is often the largest single module. We focus on the depth of reading, critical evaluation and methodological justification expected at Level 7, with plans built around the summer timeline.
PhD Theses (Level 8)
Doctoral research must be your own original contribution, so our PhD support is focused and honest: structure feedback, methodology coaching, editing within your university's rules and viva preparation. For longer term doctoral support, from the first proposal to the final examination, PhD Dissertation Help is organised around each stage of the research journey.
International Students in London
If English is not your first language or UK academic conventions are new to you, we explain the expectations behind each chapter as well as the content, so your own writing improves with every stage.
Preparing for Your Viva
PhD students and some Master's by Research students defend their work in an oral examination. We help you prepare with chapter by chapter mock questions, practice explaining your methodology choices, and a clear list of the limitations examiners are likely to probe. You answer the questions yourself on the day.
Resubmitting a Dissertation
If your dissertation needs to be resubmitted, the examiners' or markers' comments are your roadmap. Send them to us with your original handbook, and your specialist will turn each comment into a specific revision task, so your resubmission addresses exactly what was asked.
Your dissertation is matched to a specialist who knows what your discipline rewards.
- Business and management: strategy, organisational behaviour, leadership and operations, often using case studies, surveys or interviews
- Finance and accounting: financial reporting, auditing, corporate finance and ratio analysis, often with secondary data and regression
- Marketing: consumer behaviour, branding and digital marketing, using surveys and qualitative interviews
- Law and criminology: doctrinal and socio legal research with OSCOLA referencing
- Psychology: experimental and survey research reported in APA 7th, with careful attention to ethics
- Nursing and healthcare: evidence based practice, systematic and scoping reviews, and service evaluation
- Computer science and IT: AI, data science, cybersecurity and software projects with technical documentation
- Engineering: mechanical, civil, electrical and industrial projects with modelling and lab data
- Education: teaching methods, curriculum studies and learning development research

Here is how students use our work well:
- Compare their own draft with a model chapter to find gaps in structure or argument
- Learn how to justify a methodology or report statistical results
- Understand how sources are evaluated, not only summarised
- Check how their referencing style should look in practice
Always write your final dissertation yourself and follow your university's rules on academic integrity, proofreading and AI. In England, the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 made it an offence to provide or advertise services that complete assignments for students to submit as their own work. Our Dissertation Help London service is designed around learning support for exactly that reason.
Your dissertation is the biggest piece of independent work in your degree, and the right support at the right stage makes it far more manageable. Send us your handbook, marking criteria and deadline, and a specialist will review them and send you a free quote.

Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We've got clear, honest answers. Here's everything UK students usually want to know.
It covers every stage of your dissertation: choosing a topic, shaping your proposal, planning ethics documents, structuring the literature review, justifying your methodology, analysing data in SPSS, NVivo or R, and editing the final draft. You receive guidance, feedback and model chapters that you learn from and then use to write your own work.
Yes, when it is learning support. Tutoring, feedback, editing and model work for reference are legitimate. In England, the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 made it an offence to provide or advertise services that complete work for students to submit as their own. Always write your own dissertation and follow your university's rules.
We work fully online, so students at any London university get the same specialists without travelling across the city. You share your handbook, drafts and questions online and receive feedback, model chapters and progress updates the same way, which fits around lectures, shifts and summer deadlines better than fixed meeting times.
Yes. Many students only need help with the chapter they find hardest, usually the literature review, methodology or data analysis. Send that chapter with your handbook and supervisor comments, and your specialist will focus on it alone, including how it should connect with the rest of your dissertation.
No. Our Dissertation Help London service is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any university. We mention UCL, King's, LSE and other London universities only to explain their public guidance on ethics, AI and referencing. Your own module handbook and department rules always come first.
